Someone get my friend Dubba on the horn. While it’s not listed on the official Breyers website, I have it on good authority (read: I saw it in a Walmart) that a new flavor of the Blasts! line has come into existance.
And I thought Rita’s was the only frozen treat company willing to go out out on a limb and freeze peanut butter and jelly.
That’s right. Looks like the dawning of a new day in ice cream awaits. Anyone tried it yet? I’ve still yet to see it in any other stores, so it’s possible this one is a Walmart exclusive. As for why I didn’t buy it. Well, I’ve still got plenty of Tastycake Ice cream to get through…
Yeah Dubba and I were discussing this flavor as well as all the other new flavors when they started appearing back in Feb/March. I believe it’s a possible walmart exclusive just like the strawberry waffle cone JunkFoodGuy reviewed yesterday is possibly one as well. I’ve only seen those two at Walmart. I was mainly intrigued by the fact B&J’s use to have a peanut butter and jelly flavor that was discontinued, so what has Breyers done right that B&J’s didn’t?
Meijer put out a house brand peanut butter and jelly ice cream a few years ago. It sounded awesome on paper, but that’s where the awesomeness ended. I’m guessing that may happen with this one too.
Still, I’ve seen far too many Breyer’s Blasts reviews this week that want to make me eat my hand. They are doing an incredible job putting out new flavors.
oh man, I’m afraid. this all started when I saw Wegman’s carry a PB&J flavor and now it’s spreading like wildfire…. can we start the PB&J vs PB&Fluff debate? Fluff FTW! Who’s with me?
I’m with you, although, I could go for an Elvis (Bacon and Bananas and PB) or, better yet, peanut butter, dills pickles, and chips. Oh wait, ice cream, not sandwiches…
I saw it in WalMart too! Peanut butter, jelly, and ice cream all in one? That’s like… heavenly…
